I would really like to get a clinician to host an in-barn dressage clinic this winter/early spring. Riders are not serious dressage competitiors but would like to improve their skills. Who would you recommend and why?

A couple suggestions - I would look at having a clinician that is vying for a position on the PAN AM team. it would make the games more interesting for your boarders in the future. You also might want someone out of area for something fresh.
A couple I would consider:
Melanie Thomson (Pais) Stephanie Jensen Julie Watchorn

Lee Tubman is an amazing clinician! I have participated in many of his clinics! He communicates the information across very well and gets really involved with every horse and rider! You don't have to be a competitive rider to participate in his clinics! I've seen him teach an 80 year old lady on her 23 year old horse and she had soo much fun!

Depends on what you need and what you are looking to spend. I agree with Prospect that a Pan-Am Game competitor would make things more interesting (if you can get them - although it is a quiet time at the moment).
If your folks are looking to really improve their position, connection and balance with their horse and learn why their horse does what they do I would seriously recommend Debbie Dobson. She is a great Dressage Coach and very patient, very experienced, gets awesome results and great fun to work with.
Also if your folks want to get out and compete in a fun, friendly environment she hosts Test Clinics (with a proper judge) at her barn (Equestrian Dreams) where you can get feedback on how to ride a better test (good chance to practice) and schooling shows - I attended one this year - the staff and judges were really friendly - nice relaxed environment - no stress!!

Just an FYI - the three riders I shared are all aiming for Pan Ams!

Best dressage clinic I've ever had was with Belinda Trussell but I imagine she is even more pricey now!
